Murmur is designed with privacy as a core principle. All audio and video processing happens locally on your Mac. Your files never leave your device.

The Murmur App

The Murmur application does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers. All transcriptions, summaries, and media files remain on your local machine.

This Website

When you sign up for the beta, we collect:

• Timestamp of signup

This data is stored securely with Airtable and is used solely to send you the download link and product updates.

How We Use Your Data

Payments

Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the Merchant of Record for all orders. When you make a purchase, Lemon Squeezy collects and processes:

• Name and email address
• Payment information (credit card or other payment method)
• Billing address
• Transaction details

This data is handled directly by Lemon Squeezy under their Privacy Policy. We do not store your payment details. We receive only your email address and license information to fulfill your order.

Website Analytics

We use Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool, to understand how visitors use our website. Umami collects:

• Country (derived from anonymized IP)
